Friday Harbor

Saturday morning we woke up early to catch the ferry over to the San Juan Islands! We headed to Friday Harbor to explore. We spent the whole day there. The kids were excited to be on a big boat and although it was too cold to stand outside for very long, we had some great views from the windows!

Waiting patiently to get on the ferry. We had to explain what a phone booth was and how it worked!

Our first stop in Friday Harbor was a Whale Museum. It was on the smaller side but we had fun and actually learned a few things about Orcas.

We plan to see lots of lighthouses this summer so this one was a fun stop after lunch at the Lime Kiln State Park. After a short hike down closer to the water we saw this lighthouse and did some whale watching from the shore. Unfortunately we did not see any whales but had fun climbing on the rocks anyway.

On Sunday we attended a local ward for church. One of the members there told us about a little hidden gem in Anacortes so we took a little drive. This little path took you out to a point where we could see out over the whole Anacortes valley. It was so pretty and we were happy he told us about it!

Deception Pass

The weekend we were suppose to close on our house we had reservations to stay in Anacortes. The house wasn't quite empty and we thought about cancelling our plans and staying home to finish. But the weather forecast was saying it was going to be a gorgeous weekend so we headed out!

Our first stop was Deception Pass. The hike wasn't too bad and the weather was really nice! We hiked around a bit, looked at the bridge and ate lunch on the beach. The day ended with campfire hot dogs and s'mores!

Moving!

We did our move in 2 parts. We have a small indoor storage unit that we put all of our photos, albums, books, papers, etc, in. This one we were able to load ourselves (and by ourselves I mean Daniel did most of it!).

On a later day, we had some nice guys come over and help up load/unload everything that was going in to our large outdoor storage unit. For the next 5 days we all slept on the floor and on air mattresses. Doing that did help me appreciate the queen size bed in the travel trailer once we moved in. :)

Loading the storage unit like a game of Tetris!

This was how we left it for the day. There are still a few boxes at home that we are packing up and fitting in to the space that was left open!

Last Practice

I really wanted to do one more practice trip before we were officially full time. I am still working on organizing things inside the trailer and trying to figure out how everything is supposed to fit. This last trip we took was during the week. I wanted to see how the kids and I could handle being on our own for the day while Daniel was at work. Overall we survived. I only had to call him twice I think!

I love how every trip has to start out with a family car selfie!

Our first real home cooked dinner in the trailer!

Hanging out in the morning getting some school work done!

At home (in the house) this girl is almost always in the bathroom with me in the morning while I get ready. Our trailer bathroom is itty bitty and it made me laugh when she came in with her puzzle and hang out just like it was any other normal day.

Anacortes - Tulip Festival

The weekend our house went on the market we decided it would be easier to leave town. It's so hard to keep it clean with so many little people there! We headed up to La Conner, WA for the Tulip Festival! We didn't love the RV park we stayed at but the trip was a success!

I am loving my sign that my friend Rachel over at Lucky Lumber made for me!

Naps are the best.

So far we have stuck with our Friday night movie tradition. Maybe it will turn in to Friday night S'more night later. :)

Saturday we attended an Easter egg hunt and did some exploring while the weather was decent. By the time we got home on Sunday our For Sale sign was up and we had a few offers!
